Fasting

"For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding."

—Proverbs 2:6 (kjv)

The clinical definition of fasting is to abstain from all or certain kinds of food or drink, particularly as part of a religious observance.

However, fasting is more than just a physical, clinical, practice. It is a spiritual process that systematically reduces the influence of fleshly desires, bringing one into submission to the authority of God’s Spirit. By removing or lessening these desires, we, as believers, make room for God to work more freely in our lives, allowing for a deeper connection with the Holy Spirit. As the Bible reminds us, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” – John 3:30 KJV

Likewise, the scripture tells us that “However this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” – Matthew 17:21 KJV

We invite you to join us in our fasting schedule as we seek deeper connection with God. Below is our regular fasting routine, excluding any emergency prayer requests we may receive:

      • Tuesdays: 24-hour fast – dedicated to praying for family and loved ones.

      • Fridays: Fast for personal healing and intercession for those on our prayer list.

      • Monthly: 3-day fast – seeking a revival and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost.

We encourage you to participate and stand with us in faith during these times of fasting and prayer.
